Plews & Edelmann Agrees to Acquire Omega Hose Manufacturing

Plews, Inc., dba Plews & Edelmann of Dixon Illinois has agreed to acquire Omega Power Steering Hose based in Solon, Ohio from Atsco Remanufacturing Inc. The acquisition would immediately increase Plews’ SKU coverage of aftermarket power steering hose and improves upon its market leading ability to introduce new applications for its aftermarket power steering customers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Steve Venghaus, President of Plews, noted that "the acquisition of Omega will allow us to offer the best of both programs to our Edelmann and Omega power steering customers. The addition of Omega to our product offering improves our capacity, flexibility, responsiveness and new product development and allows our customers to participate in more of the market currently enjoyed by O.E. car dealers.”
Curtis Jennings, formerly with Omega, has been named the Managing Director of Automotive Replacement Parts at Plews, and added “both the Edelmann and Omega brands will continue to be offered to the aftermarket, and customers of both brands should expect an influx of new application coverage added to our offerings in the immediate future.”
